A few weeks ago I was getting a little concerned for my pet flamingos {or maybe I was going stir crazy?}. The temperatures were starting to drop and Pinky and her friends were looking terribly sad and naked outside without any hats or scarves to keep them warm.
Fast forward 2 weeks and it is a fact that I have the best readers on the planet because when I checked my mailbox yesterday, I found 2 packages for Pinky and her friends.
“Dear Pinky and friends,
I hope that you haven’t been too cold without your scarves. Here are two that may help keep someone warm. It’s in the 40’s today in the Northeast, but you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Tell Mavis we love her blog and read it everyday.”

KAREN! I love you. Thank you so much!!
And thank you random stranger from the internet for the beautiful teal colored scarf!!! I don’t know who you are but you made my day {and the flamingos too}.
Keep calm and stay warm. It’s COLD out there.
~Mavis
P.S. If you have some extra yarn/time on your hands and would like to send the girls a scarf, please mail it to the address below. If you’d like to knit a hat for a baby or a homeless person instead, that would be AWESOME and we will find a home for it. Life is BEAUTIFUL.

Mine is on its way, it’s probably stuck in customs!

Are you going to use the scarves for something useful/give them to a good cause?
Mavis says
A plan is in the works! 😉

I sent Pinky and friends two scarves and they were returned to sender by the post office. I used the correct address. Does Pinky and her friends have enough scarves or should I resend them?
Mavis Butterfield says
Oh Wendy I’m sorry to hear that. I’m, not sure why they were sent back. 🙁 The big girls have enough scarves but if you’d like to try sending them again we will find a home for them. Again, I am so sorry that happened. Thank you for taking the time to make them.
