This past weekend I was able to attend the New York City Wine and Food Festival and it was awesome!
This was my first time at one of these type of events and the sheer amount of offerings was crazy.
I attended the La Sagra Sunday Slices event as a guest and let me tell you Bob, I sampled just about everything in site. It’s probably no surprise the pizza stations were my favorite.
I mean really, who could say no to a slice of wood fired pizza served on a rooftop in Manhattan by some cute Italian guy whose name is probably Lugi or something?
There were times when I didn’t even know what the heck I was eating, but I ate it anyway because all the food was so good. And hey, if there’s a line, get in it because it must be something worth waiting for, right?
There were celebrity chefs and restaurant owners like the Scotto Family.
And there were plenty of hipsters too. But most of the crowd was filled with everyday people who were there to have a good time, sample good food and meet some celebrity chefs from the Food Network.
Prosciutto. How could I say no to that?
Gelato!
Ahh yes, the New York City Wine and Food Festival was totally worth the trip.
