You don’t need an oven. You don’t need any baking skills. You don’t need any fancy ingredients. You do need a sweet tooth though. And the ability to stir. Those are pretty much the only requirements for these cookies. Sounds perfect to me!
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Mix the first 4 ingredients in a pan on high heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and continue boiling for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Drop spoonfuls of cookie “dough” onto parchment paper {I like to use a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop}. Let cool and enjoy.

I love no bake cookies. My mom made them often when I was growing up, now I make them for my kids. Try adding peanut butter its delicious.

I used to make these all the time for my Dad, starting when I was about 10. My Mom would make cookies for his lunchbox but we were allowed to eat them so I found this recipe (no turning on the oven) and made them often. We always had these ingredients in the cupboard. I will have to send to my granddaughter so she can make them for me!

Has anyone tried them with regular oats? I bought the wrong kind but would still love to try them.

I make them with regular oats all the time and they are great. I actually first made this recipe to use oats I had from something else and now I buy them for it! I am now GF and can still eat them which is a win win in my book!

I fell in love with these in elementary school back in the 60’s. They were kind enough to give me the recipe. Imagine my mother’s joy when I came home with a recipe that made 260 cookies!

I remember these from my childhood! Loved them!
I’ve developed a life-threatening allergy to peanuts. (Last October I had to use my epi-pen and take a fun trip to the hospital via ambulance.)
Does anybody now what could be a substitute for the peanut butter? I can’t use tree nut butters either. ☹️
