Things have been humming along here in Maine… And so far it’s been a pretty busy week.
For starters, I received a disco ball for my birthday!!
Can you believe it? I guess that means I’m not that old after all, right?
Now I just need some hot pants, a sequined tube top and some roller skates and I’ll be good to go. Who knows, maybe there’ll be some skating parties in the barn this summer. Wouldn’t that be a hoot!?
Although parties usually include people and I’m not really a people person. So I might have to think more on that one.
I finally finished dyeing all my wool yesterday! This was a HUGE part of one of my goals for this year. Now of course I just have to get all that wool cut and bundled up.
I still can’t believe I’m finished. I love setting goals. But I really, really like checking things off my list and this was a big one. I was so excited I celebrated by getting a chocolate dipped cone at Dairy Queen. My first one of the year.
I also planted my first seeds of the year!
It’s hard to believe that in just 4 more weeks I’ll be planting my tomato seeds. It’s nuts.
I planted chives, leeks, onions, artichokes and petunia seeds. I’m hoping to get a flat of lavender seeds planted today. Maybe a few herbs too. I was thinking herbs might be a good seller at my little stand out front. What do you think?
Man oh man, it finally feels like I’m getting some stuff done around here. And that feels soooo good.
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got for today.
I hope you have a good one.

P.S. HH are you reading this? When is construction going to start on my new stand? Remember the old one you built? That was a beauty!!! Maybe something about half that size would be good here. We could set it up at the end of the picket fence. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Happy Birthday, Mavis! The disco ball is amazing, and I’m sure will be cleverly deployed.
And congrats on finishing your wool dying! What a great feeling to tick off such a major project.
Your first vegetable stand was a beaut. Perhaps, depending upon how the sun will strike when your stand is in position, a shed roof could be fun. And you could put a scalloped fringe across the top front. Can’t you just see it fluttering in the breeze on a fine summer morning, with all your wares laid out for passers-by?

Happy Birthday, Friend! I’d send you a can of kidney beans…but hey, you’ve got 200 pounds already.
You also need some stacked shoes with clear sparkly heels. And John Travolta to swing you around. (Oh that’s right — he doesn’t look the way he did.)
I am looking to planting some stuff — but have to get these appraisal reports done first.

Happy Birthday!
Friends of mine are great party hosts and for a bunch of the gatherings that go late into the night the husband, who is handy, simply unhooks the living room light and temporarily wires in his disco ball! It’s a hoot!
