Top of the morning to you on this chilly January morning! With temperatures in the teens for today and tomorrow I think the puggle princess and I are going to have some quality time in our jammies today. I have no plans to leave the house for the next 24 hours, so why not? Who says you have to put real clothes on everyday anyway? 😉
Have a great weekend everyone, a try to stay out of trouble!

Oh goody! I love your Subscribe & Save lists. So much easier to see & get what I want compared to other blogs. Thanks for including it. And I also love your movie & book recommendations. My big girls & I will have to watch 4 Weddings & a Funeral this weekend. Have a lovely, snowy weekend, Mavis!
Mavis Butterfield says
Thanks Melissa, you too. 🙂
Melissa says
I wish. No snow here.

Hi Mavis, I was reading your Dig For Your Dinner In January and you talked about your Meyer Lemon tree. Did you take him with you when you moved? I’ve had one in a container for about 7 years now and I brought him when I moved- but it wasn’t across the country! Stay warm- right now it’s 8 degrees where I am!
Mavis Butterfield says
No, we left it behind. I am on the lookout for another one though.

I spend most of my days in workout clothes. But I do actually workout in the morning with on demand at home exercises. That way I don’t feel guilty.

I love that you are including movie recommendations and a few deals on the Saturday post—I read daily, so the recap feature always left me feeling like there was nothing to read on Saturday morning. And of course, that is when I actually have a bit of time! Love your blog–been reading for the entire 10 years, but rarely comment. The sun is actually shining this January morning in Oregon.
Mavis Butterfield says
You made my day. Thank you for telling me how long you’ve been reading. 🙂 I always think it’s so interesting, especially the peeps who’ve been coming around forever. It’s like we are virtual neighbors in a way. I like the new Saturday format too. I’m glad to hear you do as well.

Mavis – now that you are getting settled in NE and learning about gardening there (and how different it is from the PNW) you should put out a new set of “Dig for your Dinner – New England” edition.
Mavis Butterfield says
Yep! Me too. 🙂

I am cracking up over the “Tidying Up” recommendation. I just looked at my 30+ yr old son’s suitcase and it looks like a 5 year old packed it. (he is heading to Disneyworld so that may explain the clothing choices but the packing method…suspect) I “Marie Kondo’d” it to my delight. He has room to spare now. I couldn’t help myself. Once you have been touched by the “Marie Kondo” method-you are obsessed. Enjoy your comfy cozy days.

I have to say I’m still working on going through my clothes – yes step 1 ! In the meantime we went on a trip to warmer weather and used the tidy method .. well I did and had TONS of room leftover. So when my husband asked if I had room for a few of his things I could cheerfully say yes.
Just wish there were more episodes – I went through those few episodes very quickly

We had snow over the weekend in Virginia, so I watched my first Tiddying Up episode! I loved it! Hubby was watching with me and patiently sat through that episode and did not care to sit through another. So I will have to wait for another day to watch more of her. Cant wait!!
