Hello Saturday!
The forecast is for a high of 8 degrees today {but -20 with the wind chill!} so today’s walk has been cancelled. 😉
On the list for today:

- Help the HH make soup
- Fold wool for tomorrow’s Etsy wool listings
- Finish the whale pillow I’m working on
- Draw out and cut the wool for my next project
- Unplugged and listening to an audiobook by 2 pm.
How about YOU? What’s on your list for today?
Have a good one,
~Mavis

NovemberSecret – Has the cutest little lemon earrings available on Etsy.
LemonGrace can create personalized stationary just for you.
DyJoyDesigns can make you a gorgeous 24 inch lemon wreath for your door.
Have you tried TipTree lemon curd before? Whoa Nellie it’s delicious on a crumpet. Made in England and sold on Amazon, it’s perfect with your morning cuppa.
If you have a lemon tree though, or are just feeling the urge to can something, make a batch of Meyer Lemon Ginger Marmalade. You’ll be so glad you did. Your house will smell wonderful and it’s lovely on a slice of buttered toast. 🙂
You can get the recipe HERE.
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Have a great weekend! 🙂

Happy Saturday,
It is currently 39 degrees in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We are awaiting a snow storm. It should start snowing around 10 pm tonight and snow most of the day on Sunday. We are expecting between 12-18 inches. I love snow, but that’s a little much for me. I have been getting things ready around here. Before I go to bed tonight, I will put my car at the top of my driveway. I have a steep long driveway. We don’t have a snow blower.
Things today:
* Drop off 2 bags of fresh spinach for my brother in law. My CSA is still producing. He does polytunnels in the winter. Yesterday, I picked up my CSA and received 4 bags of spinach, red carrots, romaine lettuce, and lettuce mix. I hosted Christmas Eve for my husband’s family and served the fresh spinach. Now, they all want some.
*Pick up some bird seed.
*Get gas in car.
*Take the dogs to the dog park.
*Make a pot of soup. (Chicken and rice)
* Finish house Cleaning the dining room.
*Do 2 loads of laundry.
*Read. I’m currently reading a cozy murder mystery that I picked up at the library. I’m not sure about it yet.
*Go to the gym and do 30 min. on the treadmill.

Can you post your sourdough bread? Ive tried making some and they are heavy and hard as rocks! Not sure what I’m doing wrong. It has been very frustrating.

Chilly here in PA too, still don’t know how much snow we are getting. Forecast keeps changing. Just an FYI that Stonewall Kitchen has 20% off this weekend, code JAN22..
They also have a good lemon curd!

Kitchen ideas: my neighbor has a tall cabinet with pull out drawers for her canned goods. I loved that idea and see what you have. It came from Ikea. Also a spice drawer, the holders or shelves are slated so when you open the drawer you see all the spice labels. Those are two great ideas I would love in my kitchen.
