Just a few of the flavored syrup choices for tea and coffee I spotted at the Sumburgh Airport yesterday. What crazy person would want popcorn flavored coffee? It seems like such an odd choice.
On the agenda for today:
- Make all my connections
- Give the HH a big hug
- Snuggle with the puggle tonight
How about YOU? What are your plans for today? Anyone thinking about a trip to Fair Isle after seeing all my posts about how wonderful the place is? 😉
Have a good one,
~Mavis

Yes!! Fair Isle has moved into the top 5 places to travel on my list. As a knitter (thinking of Shetland Wool Week), I would be in heaven! All those pictures of sheep. So inspiring. Your adventure has stirred the need to journey afar. Safe travels home Mavis.

I suspect that Fair Isle is going to see a visitor boost soon thanks to all you have shared! What a glorious place! I will be thinking of you today, hoping that all the connections work smoothly and that you are back with your family in Maine by tonight. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us!

I’ve been painting my hobby room floor…we had a flood with all the rains here in California. It’s been a nightmare…but I’m making it an opportunity to redo my hobby room.
Hope you make it home with no problems.
Get some sleep…because you will be welcomed by Lucy and hubby! And have lots to tell about your adventure. I’m sure they missed you terribly!

Thank you, Mavis, for sharing with us your Scotland adventures! I live vicariously through you anyway, and the Faroe Islands are on a bucket list or two of mine. I enjoyed every picture and description. Safe travels and many thanks!

Would love to send my husband there. Oh, how I would love 3 weeks in my house – alone!

My dogs will excitedly greet me for a quick minute on return from a trip. They then immediately shun me as punishment for not taking them on the trip.
My best hopes are you have a stress-free return home and that the Puggle Princess does not give you grief for your trip.

If we all commit to going to Fair Isle, they will need to generate more B & B’s there. I spent the day hooking in my pj’s due to the sub-zero temperatures outside here on the Cape today. It felt good with the gas fire roaring, a cuppa, cat snuggled on my lap and knitting projects waiting chair-side.

I vote we organize a “Mavis” trip to Shetland Wool Week. I will travel to the East from CA, meet up with you all and begin an adventure.
Who’s in?
Cheers and Happy Saturday. I am knitting while watching “Bad Sisters” on Apple +.
So good.

The popcorn syrup is sweet and used in sweet drinks. Not a buttery flavored popcorn. Usually used together with another flavor. Like Carmel corn macchiato (caramel, popcorn flavor) or Butter Pecan kettle corn latte (salted Carmel, butter pecan, popcorn flavors). I use to think pumpkin spice was an odd flavor, but many people love and obsess over it. Now I think the ‘salted’ flavors are odd, but many people again love it. There are definitely some odd flavors out there on simple syrups for beverages. My kids love ‘marshmallow’ syrup and I think it is gross in a drink, but in a Jelly Belly it is an ok flavor to me.
If you are bored, look over a restaurant supply catalog at all of the syrup flavors and there are some really weird ones.
