If you do get that much snow make sure you rake your roof off. In our old home in NY we didn’t do that one year after two large storms in a row and ended up with a crack that ran the length of the house.
Today I plan on cleaning house, making banana bread, potato soup , turning a pork butt into freezer meals.
If I have the energy might also work on the garage a bit and maybe outside.

Hope y’all stay safe – we didn’t get a lot of snow overnight, but also weren’t forecast for much either (near DC). NWS did say it would be blustery today and the wind chimes are screaming the song of their people, so yes – blustery it is.
I’m LOVING the Rick Astley Valentine. That’s. So. Awesome!

I’m making biscuits to go with dinner and starting laundry. But, we have 4 inches of snow, which is more than enough to knock our power out for days, so I’m sort of dreading doing anything that requires an appliance.

It is 35 degrees right now (feels like 24 due to wind chill) in north Florida . . .
On the agenda for today:
1) STAY INSIDE!
2) laundry
3) work on doll blanket & pillow sets for Etsy
4) get bills ready to be paid
5) work on income taxes . . .maybe . . .
6) HOT COCOA!

Just FYI: This sounds like a decent small book publisher on a Maine island! https://publerati.com/on-publishing-from-a-remote-island-off-maine/?ct=t(EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_3_3_2021_10_27_COPY_01)

I received my two rug hooking kits today and was astounded on how quick I received them. Thank you for the tea and ornament. I am working on one now. You are a marketing genius!

Down here in the south (NH/ME line) as of 6 pm we have had blizzard level conditions for over 12 hours and the snow is still coming down. Thankfully, I live in a condo and Jackie, the lady landscaper, also does the plowing. Looks like about 14 inches so far. What ended up happening up your way, snow wise?

Seeing all the hearts. I just threw my name in for a glass blowing class to make a heart from a local hot shop. They’re pulling names on Monday. Wish me luck! I saw the Netflix show contest about blowing glass and always thought it’d be fun to try a class.

I’m in Ontario, Canada and we’re not expecting any snow today. I hear some parts of the U.S. and Eastern Canada are going to get walloped. I hope you’ll be OK where you are Mavis. I love your blog and the inspiration it gives me and I especially love your property and the gorgeous view you have through the bank of windows at the back of your home. Probably because I read your blog on my phone, in my Facebook feed I have been getting absolutely beautiful pictures of the Maine coastline from “Eric Storm Photo”. I thought you might want to check out his photos because the majority of them lately have been of Maine lighthouses and they are spectacular photos. Maine is such a gorgeous state! I got a real kick out of a photo he posted a few days ago where he released, get this, his trained gulls and they flew in formation over the Portland Head Light lighthouse with steam rising up from the water. I just thought you might be interested in looking at some of his beautiful pictures. You sure live in a beautiful corner of the world and I love reading about the places you visit near your home!

Do you have any book recommendations? We are supposed to be snowed in also and I’m heading to the library to stock up on reading material.
