Hello Saturday!
Check out the sunrise this morning from my kitchen table here in Maine. What a beauty!
On the to-do list for today:
- Get dressed {I didn’t bother yesterday, so I guess I better today}
- Check out a new bakery {WAHOOOO!}
- Find the flannel sheets
- Work on the squirrel pillow I should have had done last week
- Find a project for the HH to work on so he’ll stop wandering into the room I’m in every 10 seconds with a new story about something he just saw online. 🙂
How about you? What’s on your list for today?
Have a great Saturday everyone and try and stay out of trouble,
♥ Mavis & Lucy

I’ve been wearing these jeans practically everyday for the last 12 years now and this is the lowest I’ve ever seen them so I snagged 2 pairs.

My list for today/tomorrow:
-clean out the fridge to make room for the turkey to thaw
-make cornbread so it can get stale enough for stuffing
-clean bathrooms

-declutter in preparation for hauling out Christmas decorations and setting up a Christmas puzzle station after Thanksgiving
-work on a clay ornament of a friend’s house
-hang pictures on the walls
-make lasagna with homemade noodles

My list looks like this:
– treat animals for fleas (if I don’t put it on my list I will forget and bad things happen. We called that year “fleaetnam”. Just know it was way bad)
– clean and purge garage woodshop. Need activity space for Christmas gifts and hobbies as winter will arrive in PA soon.
– make 2 more Christmas gifts (surprises of course)
– normal household chores (laundry, floors, etc)

I am going to do something I always vowed not to do. It’s going to hit 60 degrees here on Long Island today, and this week, the balsam wreath and faux roping I ordered arrived, so I am going to start my outside Christmas decorating the weekend before Thanksgiving. The wreath will probably do better hanging on the door than wrapped in plastic for another week, and I will have a much easier time tying up roping around the front door when I’m not freezing and trying to keep my hands warm. I will chalk this up to “getting older.”

What a glorious way to start your day with a view like that!
