Hello Saturday!
It’s going to be another chilly one here in Maine. With a high of 42 today and winds around 15 mph it’s a good day to stay in and get some cooking done.
On the agenda for today:
- Pack up orders and ship them out
- Cook our Thanksgiving turkey
- Have the HH bring in all the Christmas boxes from the barn
- Finish glazing and sanding bees
- Work on an angel pillow
How about YOU? What are YOUR plans for today? It’s going to be a quiet and cozy one around here.
Have a good one.

Small Business Saturday shopping. I’m nuts but Medina, OH has a few locally owed small businesses that we want to go to.
From handmade clothing to dog treats, you name it, it’s probably in out historic square.
Then it’s on to the family Thanksgiving dinner, postponed until today.

My home town! I grew up there from 1957-1975 – what a wonderful small town it was!

For today:
1) laundry
2) pack up Etsy orders for mailing
3) finish crocheting doll blanket
4) go over my Christmas list and see what I need to finish up
5) Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner (and probably lunch too)
PS: Our weather isn’t too bad today – right now it is 63. Our high today will be around 71.

I’m trimming the eggplant and pepper plants in my garden today, and prepping to plant potatoes in a raised planter box my husband made me. Then I need to get a quilt top sewn together and see what I still need to buy for Christmas gifts and go through the things already made or purchased. It will be a lovely 71 degrees today and sunny, so I think I’ll make use of that!

… glazing and sanding bees? I think I missed a memo here. What sort of bees? What sort of glazing and sanding? (don’t you usually sand things before glazing them? unless it’s a pastry and you glaze it and then add sanding sugar?)
I have so many questions…

Doing some deep cleaning, bathing the dog and decorating for Christmas. Trying to decide if I’m making a turkey pot pie today or waiting for my sister and her husband to arrive on Tuesday.
