I would love a post on what seeds are best to start early. I’d love to use your egg carton method. Also, where is the best place to buy seeds at this time of year. Thanks Mavis for all,the inspiration.

Are you shopping for a new addition in the family??

My thoughts, too! How wonderful would that be?!?

I thought the same… probably because we have two daughters and they’re both expecting their first babies this year!
Super. Excited.

It’s been an interesting week.
Funny how becoming a hermit is habit forming and sometimes harmful to your health. I actually went out of the house for errands one day last week (not this week) and actually interacted with someone and shook their hand.
Was diagnosed with C this past Tuesday (refer back to becoming a hermit, lol). Ivermectin/Zpack/steroid has pretty much knocked it out, but last night a head cold developed (haven’t had one of those in 20 years) but still on meds, so hopefully that’ll help.
Since I was feeling so good, I did too much yesterday. Today is rest and reading day. Although….. there are still a FEW things I can do sitting down, lol…

Today has been doing ALL THE THINGS that I need to get done in order to make our week run smoothly. We’re homeschooling now, so my time is a little bit different during the weekdays. I tackled the marked-down produce I picked up at the grocery store and did all the cleaning that I won’t have time for during the day (I’ll get the laundry done tomorrow). I also wrote out a menu for the week, because I was really struggling with trying to pick out something for dinner in the mornings this past week. I’ll be able to throw whatever beans I need into the Instant Pot (we’re vegetarian) in the morning or even get dinner started/made altogether before we start school now. 🙂

I loved your post on starting seeds in an egg carton. I threw away 2 cardboard cartons last week, and knew I should have kept them.
We live in a neighborhood and I’ve been thinking about putting some flower bouquets and maybe some zucchini/tomatoes at the end of the driveway this summer, for purchase. It would be nice to recoup some of my $$$ spent on seeds. Did you do well when you had your farm stand?
