We were at our library yesterday to stock up in anticipation of it closing. While we were there the Liberian wispered to me they were going to be closing and they did last night. We maxed out my library card and got some on both boys cards. I gave them a few books yesterday and stashed the others to pass out slowly.
Our library (Pierce Co.) is working on a plan so you can place things on hold and come pick them up, but who knows when that will happen. I’ve already requested a bunch of curriculum books, books of worksheets, and anything else that looked good for homeschooling.

I’m not sure what age your kids are or what you do for home school, but it looks like Scholastic has put together extra educational materials for this time. A friend mentioned it, but I think this is the link (try clicking “For Families” or “For Parents” for more info:

Our library closed yesterday. And the schools are now closed. Just hope the weather is decent during the next six weeks so my three younger kids can get outside alot. 16 year old is fine with closure because it means more fishing and more time working at his boat repair job. 🙂

I was already going to be off this week for our Spring Break, but they’ve closed the school where I work for 3 weeks instead of 1. So, my original plan of spending Spring Break beating back the clutter and deep cleaning the whole house is still a go, but I’ll be working from home for at least two weeks after that. We’re more or less done with freezer meals at this point in the year, and we just restocked our pantry items, so I spent the morning emptying, cleaning, and reorganizing kitchen cabinets. After today, I’m basically cleaning 1 room/zone each day, so I’ll be done the whole house in 7-10 days.

We are on standby for a school announcement for ‘upcoming changes’ to be announced Sunday evening. I have no idea if it will be closed or not. I just had an unplanned surgery Wednesday, so I have been needing my kids services and help around the house. At 5, 8, and 10 I have realized they follow verbal instructions well and are more capable than I realized. After I recover, I am going to delegate more tasks for them. I realized I have been doing too much and they can do some things now.

What a great thing to realize about your kids! Good for them, tell them we’re cheering them on! I hope you’re better soon.
