Hi Mavis – What a fun productive Saturday you have planned. Thanks so much for the blog – it keeps me going. You’re a lifesaver Girl Scout.

Hi Mavis! Started by prepping the guest room for painting, then went outside and pulled vines off the house, pruned the hedges a bit, foraged some wild field garlic for dinner from the yard, came in and went to the grocery and hardware stores, then painted the guest bedroom, and finished off the day with making dinner and watching the sunset with my partner.
Mavis Butterfield says
AWESOME! Doesn’t it feel good to have the room painted? I love a freshly painted room.

I drove for the first time since June. I no longer commute, and typically my husband drives when we go out together, so I haven’t had the need to drive myself anywhere in months. Other than that, I spent most of the day working on a wedding cake topper I’m making for a friend.
Mavis Butterfield says
One of your clay ones? I bet it will be cute.
Mel says
Yup. A combination of wood, clay, wire, and cloth. They wanted custom bride and groom figurines that looked like them. We’ll see if that’s what they get. 😉
