My 2 teens and I just went for a few mile walk around a pond on this lovely day. They’ve got some chores and so do I:
30 minutes outside to rake and pick up branches
help my son deep clean his room
finish my taxes (ugh)
order new lines for our clothesline (I’ve put this off 2 years for NO reason at all!)
Watch the original “The Italian Job”
yoga
Probably boring for some, but seems like the perfect Saturday to me!

Boiling maple sap down to syrup. Our first year doing this! Our first 3 cups of syrup we got from yesterday was the best we ever had. Also roasted some green coffee beans on the outdoor fire pit. It didn’t taste bad! I could’ve roasted them a little longer, but this is all a learning curve.

Hi Mavis and everyone,
I love the things you find on Etsy!
Today I have a pork shoulder in the crockpot for carnitas tonight. I am cleaning and listening to Little Women on Chirp.

(1)Finished reading my book club book: “The Beekeeper of Aleppo”—tough subject (being a refugee) but great writing. (2) Made Mavis’ delicious Chicken Chili—so easy, fast and yummy.
