If you haven’t tried it yet and you’re looking for a new dessert to try, give Old Fashioned Hot Milk Cake a whirl. It’s pretty rad.
Don’t consider cake a meal {what’s wrong with you!?} Thai Chicken Peanut Noodles is another good recipe {and the leftovers are even better the next day}.
But maybe you’re super bored and the craft store is closed and you don’t feel like getting out of your jammies to do the whole curbside pick up thing and you’ve been wandering around your house for days looking for something to make because you’ve got all this time on your hands now… Well then, how about Turning Your Old Candles Into New Ones? I show you how HERE.
LAST CHANCE! If you still haven’t ordered your seeds, Botanical Interests is currently offering 30% off online seed orders with code SEEDS30 at checkout through the end of March. They are also offering FREE Shipping on orders of $40 or more through the end of the month as well. 🙂

I am totally not being an adult today (and tomorrow) and am becoming one with the couch. Being an essential worker, I’m out 4 days a week so the drugstore can stay open. On Friday, all adult-oriented chores get done so I have 2 days of nothing. Any essentials are gotten from my store, especially groceries. Stay safe and stay healthy please!

Thank you Mavis. It has turned into a Harry Potter marathon kind of weekend!

Thank you and all the other people who are keeping the supply chain open for the rest of us! And especially thank you to those on the front lines at hospitals and other healthcare locations! God bless and stay safe!

Mavis, How has your gardening changed after living in the Pacific Northwest, and now living in New England? Or has it not changed at all?
Mavis Butterfield says
I’m still gardening, everything just starts a little later because the winters are colder here. But I think I actually like it that way. I love the 4 very distinct seasons and that you have to take advantage of them or you miss out.

I think I might make the Thai Chicken Peanut Noodles for dinner tonight, but our grocery store has been out of chicken for weeks, so I think I’ll use chickpeas instead. We got salad ingredients from our CSA, so maybe a sesame ginger salad dressing to go with that to round it all out.
Thanks!
