You have my admiration for staying in the house while all the sanding is being done. I believe I would have tucked Lucy under one arm and a suitcase under the other. Lot’s of pet friendly B&B’s in New England. Just think of all the new places to discover! And you could take all of us on your journey

Is Miss Lucy’s muzzle turning white, or is that sunlight? I saw a pic below from 2 years ago and her muzzle was brown. She may be getting a little white headed, like me.
