Hello Saturday!
This is one of those mornings where I should just snap a photo of my face and write “This should explain everything. Too tired to blog. See you tomorrow.”
But I won’t do that. I wouldn’t want to scare any of you off after all now would I? 😉
Yesterday was my once a month Etsy shop update and let me tell you Bob, I worked right up until 5:59:42 getting everything listed before my self imposed 6 PM deadline. Then I ate a quick bite and marched right downstairs and worked on a special pottery order until midnight.
If I was still doing my word of the day, today’s word would be EXHAUSTED.
- I need sleep. But then again, I need to get those spinner gourds in the ground {I started them in the greenhouse and I think they are finally ready to set outside}.
- Did I already plant sunflowers? I think I did.
- I need to hunt for more freebie terracotta pots and treasures unknown at the recycle center today.
- I need to glaze a few things, and catch up on drawing out patterns for kits and make a list of the wool I need to dye next week.
- I need biscotti. Why oh why didn’t we stop at Virgilio’s Italian Bakery. when we were in Gloucester and buy some? The HH has never made biscotti before, maybe he’d make some for me. The fig and hazelnut ones, those are the ones I’m craving.
- I need to take a shower. I think I’ll braid my hair today. Not sure yet if I’ll go for the Dutch girl look with the braids wrapped over the top of my head or Indian girl braids, straight down and simple.
- I have one WHITE eyebrow. Should I pluck it?
- I need to find a good thin sock. Mid calf length. Or is it mid calf height?
- I need to make another cup of tea.
- I need to stop this list.
Saturday. It’s here. Ready or not.

You have me chuckling… I’ve just finished with my Saturday!
I get the suspicion that you might overthink things a little sometimes!! 😀 😀
Hope you have a fun yet chilled out day – and pluck the white eyebrow… then you can cross it off your thinking list unless of course, you need a talking point with people. haha
Don’t forget to schedule in a day of nothing. Guilt free. It really helps sometimes 🙂
(its on my list to schedule that in sometime too… honestly!!)
xx

My thought about plucking a white eyebrow….Leave it, peoples’ faces look best with 2 eyebrows! Thanks for the giggle!
Off to find some spots to tuck in the last 4 tomatoes!

To my super hero, Mavis…. You have encouraged and inspired me nearly every day since I found your blog during my couponing years. I hope you get plenty of tea and snuggle puggle time soon!

Crazy as it may seem I finally found a thin sock I love and it is Walmart’s own brand. I bought one pack thinking they were cheap enough to toss if I hated them but instead I went back and bought more.

Wow, wow, you wear me out just reading all you get down in a day.
Mavis, you rock, where do you get your energy? I have to say I love everything you do.
Take the day off tomorrow and rest.
My dear departed daddy use to say when you owned a home you never got finished. We were raised on a working farm so I understand your day some what but there was more of us working.

Just pluck the white eyebrow hair, NOT the whole eyebrow. It’s gonna be alright! 🙂

You are too funny! Get some well deserved rest! Luv ya Mavis 🙂

You have accomplished much at this point in your life, there are many of us who consider you a friend, you have a thriving business. You are inspiration to many, including me. Thank you Mavis. Your yard looks fantastic. Now take Sunday off. Even the Lord rested on Sunday.

Of all people, you should know you don’t have to look any further than Darn Tough ! I hike in their ultra thins and my feet are warm in the cool morning, cool in the hot afternoon, and never sweaty – best purchase ever!

I bought 2 pairs of their lightweight socks and both pairs of socks slide down from around my heel and I am constantly having to pull them up. I don’t have that problem with the mid weight socks though… so maybe I got a bad batch?
I haven’t tried the ultra thins though… maybe I’ll try a pair.

Maybe size down? I found them very snug to start, and was worried I’d gotten the wrong size, but they now fit beautifully. I wonder if they’ll swap them out for you
