Hello Saturday!
Cloudy skies and wind are in the forecast for today so I think I’ll do a bit of wash, hang it on the line and then work on putting together some rug hooking kits.
On the agenda for today:
- Pack up orders and ship them out
- Laundry
- Collect seaweed
- Trim the squirrel ornaments I made last night and get them ready for the kiln
- Work on rug hooking kits
- Clean out the fridge and have leftovers for linner
- Maybe dye some wool
- Movies and hot chocolate by 3 pm.
- Finish the pumpkin rug I started last night
How about YOU? What’s on YOUR list for today?
Have a good one,
~Mavis

– Hubby retired yesterday (after 30 years teaching HS) so he’s (we’re?) grill shopping.
– My oldest son’s birthday is today so we’re delivering a birthday dinner to him.
– My youngest son just graduated with a degree in Music Education so I’m helping him go through some musics, books and school things.

My Saturday
already:
*walked/ran 3 miles
need to:
*go pick up “fancy” donuts (vegan/GF…fun flavors at specialty shop) for Father’s Day tomorrow
*dye 2 pieces of clothing better colors
*finish reading book and return it to library (due today!) it’s a new release, so I only had 2 weeks, and I had 2 books to finish before I started that one.
*hem a pair of pajama pants I turned from capris to shorts
*print a PAPER calendar to plan excursions and wardrobe for a Hawaiian cruise we’ve been waiting over a year for–leave on Thursday! first (and last?) cruise ever!
*hit up a couple grocery stores

Work, get some weeding done. Plant some plants I received in the mail. Supper then likely read. Hoping we miss the rain, don’t want to get caught out in it. Ha ha.

I did some cleaning and hung out two loads of laundry. It was a windy day and the laundry dried faster than I realized. Had I paid more attention to the laundry maybe my one queen size sheet would not have a purple target on it now. That bird surely earned the prize for the biggest marking. Ugh! That sheet will be going back in the washer shortly.

I ordered all my seeds for next year from Botanical Interests on Thursday. It’s the first time I’ve ordered from them. Jess from the YouTube blog Roots and Refuge recommended them and now you, so I have high hopes for next year’s garden ! 🙂

Hosted a bridal shower for my nephew’s fiance. Nice to see the female relatives all in one place as it’s been years (thanks COVID). The boys were next door but kept coming over as they knew we had better food 🙂
Ended the day walking the dog and harvesting rhubarb. Freezing bunches for winter pies.
