I’m working on a big backyard project. So far today, I’ve taken down a fence with bolt cutters, and worked on a terrible ivy problem taking over another fence. Still so much work to do in the yard. We’re also having friends over to hang by the pool, so that will be a nice break!

Ran errands with my husband and saw a “Sewing Room Sale” sign outside a church. I asked my husband if we could stop in after we ran the errands and he agreed. He left me there for one hour. My best buy was a nice pouch that I have the directions to make, but couldn’t follow them as I’m a visual learner. Now I have one and that will be my “everybody” gift for Christmas 2020! (Every year I make a gift for everyone on my list. Usually it is sewn, as that is my “special power.” )
But I did buy fabric, magazines and one bib pattern. Grand total just over $20.00! (Fabric was about $1.00 a yard.) So I did pretty well.
Later today I will figure out the sizing for shorts for our grandson, get them cut out, and run those up. Then I will do the sizing, etc. for PJ pants for my mother. She can not wear anything that isn’t 100% cotton. Many clothes available in stores are 100 % cotton, but then they use thread that isn’t and she breaks out. After sewing for 6 kids while we were growing up, she no longer wants to sew clothing! So I do it for her.

Inspired by your decluttering post, I participated in my neighborhood yard sale. Got rid of a lot of stuff and made about $140! Felt great!

That’s awesome Dana!
