Hello Saturday,
On the agenda for today:
- Clear off kitchen table
- List wool bundles on Etsy
- Pick peas
- Buy more strawberries at the farmstand {I hope it’s open}
- Make pesto. Or rather pick basil leaves so the HH can make pesto. 🙂
- Paint the medicine cabinet in the bathroom
- Watch Sleepless in Seattle {It’s on Netflix this month}
How about you? Any exciting plans for tonight? Got your sparklers ready? 😉
Have a great weekend everyone,
♥ Mavis & Lucy

Hi, Mavis–everything looks gorgeous, so productive! How do you manage the bean succession planting? Do you interplant with the first sowing, or start the successions in pots and transplant, or? I’m trying to get better at managing my garden space. Thanks! P.S. I have basil envy–yours is way farther along than mine, even though I’m zone 7.

Hi Wynne,
I wrote about this last here in this post: https://www.onehundreddollarsamonth.com/succession-planting-why-its-awesome-and-how-to-do-it/

Thanks, Mavis. I checked out your mid-Atlantic planting guide, too. Popped in my second round of beets today. I should probably not have planted more lettuce seedlings today, but I had them, so I went for it. May try shade netting. I envy your Maine climate for gorgeous summer lettuce. But I guess the tradeoff is, I still get tomatoes and peppers in October and November.

Hi Mavis,
Do you freeze Pesto? If so, how do you prep for freezer?
