The list for this weekend is long.
Organize and arrange dining room shelves. Put together dining room
Corner cabinet that was delivered this week. Put away crystal glassware in said cabinet. Laundry. Can another batch of tomato sauce with tomatoes and peppers from the garden. Harvest more zinnias…they are all over my
House and I love them! Shred and freeze zucchini. Freeze remaining yellow squash. Prep garden space and sow seeds for peas and bok choy. Bake up a batch of banana bread. Defrost some pork chops for an easy Sunday dinner tomorrow. Break down more boxes so I can get the em to the recycling center. Cook up a batch of chicken noodle soup for school lunches this week. Get the guest room bed made. Hang all the remaining pictures in the house. Start hanging curtains in the house.
I am hoping that I can still walk by Monday

I have a question for you. When you freeze yellow squash, do you blanch it?
I have a LOT of yellow squash this year and have dehydrated quite a bit but would like to freeze some, too
We usually just get enough to eat and dehydrate band to give away
Thanks!!

Sorry for my late reply. I know that all the instructions say to blanch first but I find it makes the cooked squash to soft. I cut mine into chunks and freeze without blanching. I have also had success in making squash casserole ms and freezing those for about 2 months.

Thanks Angie!! That’s what I was hoping to hear!! 🙂

If it’s not too personal, could you share what time you mean by getting to bed early? I strive for early bedtime every day but can’t seem to make it before 10.
