I pick up change all the time and put it in a separate bank. Then on New Years Day I open the bank to see how much I have collected over the year. I have been doing this for years and Use to average around $15 a year.2016 wasn’t a good year – only picked up $5.06 – I am retired and not out every day.

Your goal of donating to charity with your mom is one of my favorite (along with the 52 bakeries). I am looking forward to seeing what you choose and how you go about giving. Donor dollars are hard to come by, as is volunteer time. I love this idea and will be doing something similar myself – helping a family that is going through hard times. They need a hand up – not a hand out. Keep up the good work Mavis (and mom).
