I was helping my daughter wrap a few of her Christmas gifts the other day and needed a clever way to spice up the plain paper bag she decided to use {she’s a college kid after all and doesn’t want to waste her money on wrapping paper}. 😉  While we were combing the house for supplies we found some paint chip cards and quickly decided to use those.  It’s a cheap way to wrap a gift–and people will totally think you put in tons of effort. Ha! {HH if you are reading this you can stop rolling your eyes now. I offered to buy her a roll of gift wrap but she declined}.
You’ll Need
Craft paper wrapping {or a brown paper bag}
Paint chip cards
Pattern Punch
Glue Stick
Twine {optional}
Directions
Using your pattern punch, punch out a design from each of the colors in the paint chip cards. Â Wrap your gift, using the brown paper or the paper bag. Â Glue on the paint chip punches in a fun little design.
So cute, and the paint chip samples pretty much did all of the coordinating work for you.

Nice:-). Those punched paint chips would make lovely matching gift tags, too. Think Home Depot and Lowe’s will notice if all their red and green paint chips start disappearing at an alarming rate? 😉

I don’t think the point of this post was to go take paint cards. I think the point was that we all have a few of those in a drawer somewhere, like Mavis did, and to use what we have instead of buying. I think that glossy colored ads in magazines or glossy pictures or covers could be used. This time of the year, I get plenty of catalogs that have Christmasy colored pictures. Those I have. Now, to get a punch.

Good for your daughter! My Mom still hasn’t quite gotten over the time I used newspaper to wrap gifts in college. I think this would have gone over better.
