Pareidolia : the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern.
I was picking up some wool threads off the floor yesterday and HAD to take a picture!!! Do we see the same thing? What is the first thing you thought of when you saw this image?

A person! I was so glad, Mavis, when you introduced the word “pareidolia” to us all years ago. My dear departed father was always seeing images(as do I). I was happy to be able to share this term to describe our “knack” for seeing the world through a different lens. 🙂
