Yipee Ya Whoooooo…I harvested 32pounds of peas yesterday…
It was a family effort to use the pressure canner for the first time. After the handsome husband worked hard all day I announced that he had to be in charge of the first canner load of peas…so basically I told him “read the directions…figure out how to use it (so it can be your fault if you destroy the thing)…and them show me how… pretty please”.
This puppy holds 10 pint jars at a time!
Yes, Leopard girl…there will be peas at Thanksgiving….
But tonight…..I’m planning on having strawberry shortcake for dessert……
