Are you a credit card addict with no will power? Here is a great {and ridiculous} idea to curb {or freeze} your spending. Simply take those credit cards, place them in a tub or a cup of water and freeze them. Seriously. Freeze them solid.
Then, the next time you want to impulse buy, you can’t! But if you have a purchase you really want, you’ll have the time to actually contemplate whether the purchase is worth it while you thaw out that block of ice to retrieve your cards. It’s a great way to eliminate impulse buys and a good way to prevent buyers remorse.
Now if you have an out of control spending habit, might I suggest a 5 gallon bucket?

I actually use the reverse of this strategy. I buy EVERYTHING on my credit card. That way I get the rewards cash. Plus you can easily track spending on the statement & website.

I 100% agree, assuming you pay off your credit card each month and don’t carry a balance. However, if you regularly spend outside of your means, I can see how this would be helpful.

Yes, use the one card that gives most rewards for everything you buy. Plus the automatic monthly payments for utilities etc. Pay THE WHOLE thing every month without any interest. Hope you can do it.
I am so lucky I got to this stage of my life.
