This invention is seriously the most genius thing since sliced bread. Or Post-Its. Or white out.
Throwing a slice of your leftover pumpkin pie into a blender with ice cream and mixing it into a creamy treat is sheer genius. I tried this yesterday and I drank so much my stomach hurt.
The HH tried it. He drank so much his stomach should have hurt, but with a stomach of steel, it didn’t even phase him. 😉
It’s seriously so good though. Homemade pumpkin pie milkshakes, the real deal, you’ve got to give it a try. We topped ours with a hefty amount of whipped cream, although I think it would be equally as awesome without it.

I don’t understand “leftover pumpkin pie”. That phrase is never used in my house!

I’m with you. I was hoping there was going to be another way of making the milkshake because I have never seen a leftover slice of pumpkin pie!

Mavis, I’ve heard so many amazing things about how the Vita-Mix blender works and what if can do, which seems to be just about everything so I’m wondering how your Blendtec works for you? Is it really powerful and does it get things completely blended? I’ve been wanting to buy a new one but haven’t done so yet and I value your opinion. Your pumpkin milkshake looks delicious and since this is the big day, I wish you and yours a very Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving.

We’ve been using the Blendtec for 9 years and it is simply the best blender we have ever used. Works wonderfully every single time.
