The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day. So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer Is NOT Singing Loud for All to Hear
Wait, what? Was Buddy wrong? Is singing actually bad for you and not the very best way to spread Christmas cheer? According to a British psychologist, Buddy is completely wrong. In fact, listening to Christmas music could harm a person’s mental health, clinical psychologist Linda Blair says. Blair said the continuous playing of Christmas music in the car or at stores reminds people of all the things they need to do before the holiday arrives. Read the article and then let me know if you agree or disagree?
This is the most fascinating story of a man and a painting. Gabriel Gressieis, a painter from the Netherlands, was commissioned in 2014 to paint a massive and intricate picture for an antique toy dealer. The results are the most incredibly detailed painting I have ever seen. And then the story of how he painted it is quite detailed as well. It’s not often you hear the story behind how a pinting like this is made, but after hearing it, I have some mad respect for painters. That’s some hard work that goes into talent like that!

I wonder how in the world we survived this long without someone, somewhere telling us what to do or not to do!
I just shook my head the other day when I read this. People love to tell you how to act, don’t they? Mercy…
BTW, I’m here in Sequim visiting the In laws with the hubby
We were here for the snow. Pretty. Now enjoying off and on sunny skies. Yall live in a beautiful area! But, I do prefer to stay in GA!
Enjoy the day!

I initially thought “how do you follow the instructions while you’re folding the instructions up?” And then realized you could just follow the instructions on the *next* note in the pad to fold the current one up, and so on…

I so disagree with the article.
If you’re the kind of person who becomes irritated it doesn’t matter what it is that causes you stress….it will happen anyway. Turn the music off & these people will find something else to stress them out. We all have those kinds of days. What is the deal? Buck up people….have we all become wimps & are offended at every little thing? We can either take care of ourselves…be healthy & do less to lower our stress levels….or choose to be offended at every little thing & raise our stress levels.
Saying all that, the holidays can be super painful. I have surely lived long enough to know loss & pain. I realize that’s just how life works! We love, we set expectations for what we want…& we lose people or people don’t act the way we had hoped/thought they would. That is life…I’ve cried in the night over it. But you get up & choose. WE get to choose! I’m surely not going to let a something like a song playing in a store ’cause’ me to be offended. If I do, then I need to back off & get things straightened out in my own head.
Ha! I guess I DID let this article offend me & cause me some holiday stress! 😉
I love the painter, one determined & motivated man who didn’t let hard things top him.

I listen to Christmas music on and off all year. It doesn’t stress me out. It reminds me of an awesome time of year when we can be grateful for what we have and give to others who need it. I think its all in how you view it. If you are the type of person who thinks they have to get a bunch of stuff done in order to have a good holiday, then maybe it would stress you out. Whatever I get done is what gets done…it’s not going to effect the reason for the season for me. In fact, I’m a teacher and during my prep time I often turn Christmas music on. It motivates me to get work done and usually puts a little pep in my step. It’s all about perspective.

Unfortunately, your example Of Buddy And The holiday Music was flawed. BUDDY wants us to SING, not listen to canned music. Are you sure you have watched Elf….?
I work in a department store and they have been playing holiday tunes for about 2 weeks now. Just
Like all the music that is played all the time I just ignore
