The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this week’s edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It’s Off to Work He Goes
When 89-year-old widower, Joe Bartley, whose wife died two years ago, placed a work wanted ad because he was “dying of boredom,” he never expected it to result in this. Not only did a local cafe make him an offer, but on his first day he walked into applause. How sweet is that? He placed the add because he was lonely, saying his building has a community area but “not a soul comes in,” and when he returns home, there’s “nobody to talk to.” Well now he can be surrounded by company!
Do you have a budding toddler designer on your hands? Have you ever watched your child create a masterpiece and wished there was something else you could do with it beyond displaying it on the fridge? You’re in luck. Picture This is the company you wish you would have thought of, because it’s brilliant. You head to their website and print a dress design template. Then you let your child go to town with their little imaginations, drawing whatever design they want on the template. Then you snap a photo of the finished design and send it to Picture This, they even give you guidelines for how to take a good photo. The last step — wait two weeks and your child’s creation arrives in the mail. Pretty cool if you ask me.
I Want These Musical Chickens in My Life!
{Since the link was broken last time and it was too good to miss, we’re trying again this week!} I’m not sure why I never thought to utilize the talents of my chickens back when I had them {I miss them so much! Sniff, sniff!}. They could have had a full-on chicken band. I suspect we’ll see an album released sometime soon…
You Could Have Your Very Own UniKitty
I don’t know why this is a thing, but I’m so glad it is. I think it’s hilarious. You can turn your cat into a unicorn using this Inflatable Unicorn Horn for Cats. I’m just wondering if it works for dogs, too? Can’t you just see Lucy posing as a little unicorn?
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.
