The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
The Tortoise and the Hare: The Next Chapter
While the story of your childhood pits the tortoise and the hare against each other, apparently a large tortoise in Arizona never got the memo. The Ritz-Carlton, in Arizona has a longtime pet tortoise named, Wamba, became protective of a small bunny that wandered into the tortoise’s night shelter on a cold night to warm itself up by the heat lamp. A ranger was surprised when he found the two animals snuggled up and noted the tortoise seemed protective of the mini cottontail rabbit. It was an unlikely friendship that warmed the hearts of hotel staff!
So not to be totally morbid and obsessed with your ashes, but since we’ve covered planting yourself in the form of an “ashes tree” or having yourself crafted into some pottery, when I stumbled onto this idea, I thought those of you grossed out about by the ashes mug might like this as an option. You can be pressed into an actual record. The record is two sided and can include final words and memories or licensed music. Interesting.
The Sweet Sounds of Technology?
A conductor, Rainer Hersch, created his own music using the sounds of an iPhone, like typical iPhone ringtones, alerts, keyboard clicks and vibrations. Who knew that those annoying sounds could sound so cool when arranged by someone with serious talent. If I tried this, it would sound similar to a preschool garage band. But this is awesome!
So for a whopping $39.99 you can become a Scottish Lord! The lovely pack includes a deed to a square foot of land in Scotland, giving you the right to be called “Lord,” and granting you ownership. Unfortunately, it’s technically outlawed in Scotland, so it’s more of a “thought that counts” type gift!
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

Loved the orchestra playing Apple ringtones. Which led me to two cellos playing Thunderstruck. What an interesting Friday treat. You find the coolest stuff!
