The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
This is not a drill. Sonic is putting pickle juice into their slushies this summer and I think the world has officially gone mad. Even if you like pickles. Even if you like pickle juice. There are limits, people! That’s crossing a line. Gag. Sonic will start selling a pickle juice slush this June. The drink is a bright green and combines that sweet slushie flavor with the gag-worthy burst of pickle flavor. What’s worse? You can add the pickle flavor to anything on the menu. Ice cream. Shakes. Or maybe something for normal humans like a burger?
If you are a Harry Potter fan {or really, even if you aren’t}, this story will warm your heart. It begins with two young Harry Potter fans and ends with a gesture that will restore your faith in humanity. One child with a tough upbringing and one with a heart so tender that wanted to make a difference. Click on over and read all about Xavier Kennedy and Destiny Carroll and their amazing story!
Wow. Just. Wow.
I’m just sitting here with my jaw on the desk. I have seen Jack Black in all sorts of movies and I even knew he was in a band, but I had no idea he could belt like that. Like him or not, you have to admit that was freakin’ amazing.
Does It Leave Your Mouth Bacon Fresh?
Do you love the taste of bacon in the morning? If so, this bacon flavored dental floss is just the thing for you! Or maybe it’s not. Maybe it’s actually a super odd and gross thing to be sliding between your teeth? I like bacon as much as the next guy and I think flossing is super important, buuut I have my limits. I guess if this is what it takes to get you to floss, so be it. Would you ever use this? Have you ever used it? Maybe it’s the perfect birthday gift or stocking stuffer for that bacon lover in your life?
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

LOVE that movie!

It’s amazing, and kind of sad, that guys like Jack Black and Seth McFarlane, who have INCREDIBLE singing voices, turn to comedy, presumably because they can’t make a living singing, while some of the people making a living singing – well, enough said …….

Mister Rogers is amazing. Wait till this summer when the documentary “won’t you be my neighbor” comes out. I had the privilege of seeing it at a documentary film festival early and it does not disappoint. What an amazing man he was.

So not a fan of pickles. Can’t imagine pickle juice added to anything. Today I saw someone post a picture of dill pickle flavored peanuts. Ah – no!

I so love Jack Black. There’s only a few guys that I think are pure genius. Jack Black is one of them. He did Polka King and it’s bomb. It’s so much fun to see him singing polka. Much different from Tenacious D (and I do love Tenacious D.)
Polka King is on netflix. The other one he did is Bernie, also on netflix with Shirley McClaine. It was very good as well. Both are true stories. He’s pretty good at doing these true story deals.

Next Friday night’s movie should be High Fidelity, which has some snippets of a potty-mouthed Jack Black, lots of adorably neurotic John Cusack, and this gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzl_l5gC5is
