Random Goodness from Around the Web 6/17/16

The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head.  Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}.  They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.  

So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:

Maybe This Ice Cream is What’s at the Bottom of the Rainbow?!

I love ice cream as much as the next guy {okay, probably more!}, but I can’t get behind this weird new craze. It’s BLACK ice cream! Maybe it would be perfect for Halloween, but I just can’t even picture eating it. I’m always going to be afraid my teeth will look like I took a Sharpie to them afterwards. Have any of you tried this? Does it creep you out, too, or do you think it will be awesome?

Move Over Usain Bolt

I just found my new hero!! Ella Mae Colbert, a retired teacher who spends her days volunteering in the classroom, is just about the coolest person on the planet. She’s been running track since high school, and just shattered the current 100-meter-dash record for 100-year-old runners of 1 minute 17 seconds, and crossed the finish line in 46.791 seconds. She says she runs 3 miles with her nieces and nephews to stay fit. WHAT the what?! She’s 100 and she’s running more than I am. Better get my running shoes on. This little lady just inspired me to hit the pavement!

Machines Just Took Over World’s Worst Chore

Is this for real? A machine that folds laundry for you?!!! Now I realize the pricetag is hefty, but just think back to when cell phones first came out. They were crazy expensive. So there is hope that in a few years, this puppy will be available everywhere and for much less. I have my fingers crossed because I would LOVE this. I don’t hate folding laundry like some people, but do you see how perfectly the folds look? It’s making my OCD heart happy!!

Instant Irish Accent Gum

If ever there was the perfect White Elephant gift, this is it. I’m not sure if it instantly makes you dance a jig as well, but I suspect it’s possible! Ha!
