Miss Martha Chicken is on an adventure. About 3 weeks ago she disappeared. After being gone for 1 week, she showed up while I was feeding the other chickens one morning. I had to do a double take. How could she have possibly survived a week on her own, in the woods? She stayed and hung out with the other chickens for a few hours before disappearing again. Its been 2 weeks. The Girl and I have decided she’s on an adventure. We hope she’ll come home for Christmas.
I picked up these practically brand new boots for Monkey Boy at the Thrift Store the other day for $6. What a bargain!
About 4 months ago the dishwasher died. I asked the HH to fix it.
He drained the water out with a turkey baster and cleaned the screen while he muttered something under his breath about a the dishwasher was not meant to act as a garbage disposal (translation: It’s YOUR fault it’s broken… you never rinse the dishes you just shove them in there). Blah Blah Blah…
Fast forward to today… The dishwasher is still broken.
Ever year around this time we get a few visitors. They never stay too long…at least not while the HH is on patrol. So far this week he has caught 2.

My dishwasher works…but it doesn’t WORK. The dishes almost come out dirtier than when I put them in! I’m just going with it…washing dishes by hand…and setting them on the counter just like you!
By the way…I have laughed off and on since yesterday about your description of shopping at Walmart with the scooter riding Nascar fans on scooters. OH MY GOSH was that funny!! It is so true! And I find it hilarious that obviously it’s universal in all parts of the country! lol

Nice boots. I love finding things at our thrift store and DI. I wish I could find more for my little munchkins. My twins are growing out of clothes so fast. Plus my 4 year old likes to put holes in every single pair of pants. Why do we use dishwashers. I have to pre wash everything and then they still come out dirty.
