Yesterday morning after landing in Denver, Colorado we jumped in the car and headed straight for Botanical Interests Seed Company in Broomfield, Colorado.
My online boyfriend Ryan, Co-Owner Curtis Jones and the rest of the crew gave us a huge box of seeds to pass along to St. Jude for their raised bed gardens. In case you didn’t know, St. Jude has 59 raised garden beds where they grow food for their hospital cafe. Botanical Interests thought they could use a few {hundred} packets of seeds and we were happy to pick them up and bring them along with us.
After our visit to Botanical Interests, Curtis took us to his home for a private tour of his family garden. I took loads of pictures and will do a proper post as soon as I can. But let me tell you Bob, it was beautiful.
Not only did Curtis give us a tour but he also bought us lunch at a Colterra. How cool was that? Thanks Curtis! 🙂
After lunch, we “Gnomed” the streets of Niwot, Colorado.
Niwot was had such a cute downtown that we just could not resist.
We placed garden gnomes in planter boxes, wheelbarrows, hanging baskets and in the windows of the local shops.
A few of the shop owners sent us photos of themselves with the gnomes and I’ll post those pictures as soon as I can.
After Niwot, Colorado we headed south to Red Rocks Amphitheater to chill with our gnomies. 😉
Because of time constraints we were not able to stay for a concert, but man, was it a beautiful venue.
And then, there was Kansas. Giddy up. Due to a few problems with our rental car, we didn’t get into Wichita Kansas until around 1:30 am this morning. It was brutal, but we made it. The highlight of the drive from Denver to Wichita, was stopping by the World’s Tallest Easel in Goodland, Kansas. We dropped a few gnomes in the field for unsuspecting visitors and then high tailed it out of there. 😉
Ahhh road trips. Expect the unexpected, right? 🙂
Life is good! Today we are headed to Knoxville, Tennessee. Wish us luck, we’ll need it.

**Right now we have to get on the road, but later tonight I hope to share a few stories with you {like what happened with the Washingston State Patrol and the car rental}.

How long will you be in Knoxville for? We just moved here a few months ago and we love it! Maybe you could leave us a few gnomes 😉 Are you doing a meet and greet while you are here? Your blog is my newest love and I have gone back a few months of reading in the last few days. It’s been great! Thanks for all you do and have already taught me. 🙂 I hope you have a great time here!

Watch out for flooding. Last I heard Memphis was completely inundated. Of course as I am looking at a map I doubt you will be in Memphis, but basically the entire state of Tenn. is under a flash flood watch. Be careful and good luck.
