Last summer the HH stopped in at the Roots Community Cafe in Hooksett, NH for breakfast and boy were we surprised at not only how good the food was, but all the memorabilia on the walls. We absolutely love old country stores, and while there seems to be a boatload of them here in New England, each and every one has it’s own personality.
Robie’s Country Store opened in 1822 as a general merchandise store and has not only been a local community hot spot for nearly 200 years, but during the presidential primary season, a campaign destination for hopefuls over the years as well.
One of the back walls in the store is covered with campaign memorabilia and photographs which we both thought was pretty awesome.
Every part of the United States has it’s charms I’m sure, but we are smitten with New England and honestly wake up each day thankful we took the leap to pack up and move across the country almost 2 years ago.
So if you ever find yourself near Hooksett, New Hampshire, be sure and stop by Roots Community Table / Cafe because the food {and atmosphere} are worth the trip.
Have a great Thursday everyone,

I live less than five miles from Roots Community Table. It’s a lovely quaint place. I used to go there when it was owned by the Robies.

This is now back in the hands of the Robie’s as The Robie Store, a specialty grocery store, a cafe serving breakfast and lunch, and a deli and butcher providing farm fresh dairy, eggs and custom meats straight from the Robie Farm in Piermont, New Hampshire.
