Hey! Guess what!? The sun finally came out, so I decided to do some laundry and hang it on the line. The whole time I was out there hanging my sheets I kept hearing, “Six pins Dolores! Six pins, not five” in my head.
Seriously, am I the only one who thinks of Vera Donovan every…single…time they hang their sheets on the clothesline?
Tell me I’m not.
That’s all. That’s all I’ve got for today. Sunshine! What a treat. 🙂
Carry on.

I love that movie! Sometimes being a bitch is the only thing a woman has to hold onto! I love it:)

Nothing beats the smell of laundry hung on the clothes line. I’m reminded of a Portugal hotel where the bed linens were hung on a clothes line to dry. I’m not familiar with Vera Donovan but appreciate Jenell’s comment!

Love that movie!

Love that movie. 36C here. Ashcroft, British Columbia. Horrid. But moved here from the Coast. Three acres, no mortgage. Couldn’t make it without air.

I had to look this one up but had you said, “no wire hangers!” I’d have totally got that one!!! Funny how stuff gets stuck in your head!

Mommy Dearest is a classic too! 🙂

My brother Scott loved to hang laundry and every time he hung it, he would recite in a high pitched voice “Six pins Dolores! Six pins, not five”. Of course everyone would laugh.
Scott passed a few years ago at a very young 61 years of age….non small cell lung cancer. He never smoked. It was a shock to us all.
Thanks for the memory. Made me smile.

I have never heard of Vera Donovan. But, I love to hang clothes on the line. But, I don’t do winter hanging.

I just realized I have always conflated Misery and Delores Claiborne in my head and have never watched Delores Claiborne! Found it streaming and here we go. Thanks, Mavis!
