I don’t know about you, but snow days are my favorite days. And luckily here in Maine we get quite a few of them each winter. It started snowing on Sunday and by Monday morning the skies had cleared and it was a winter wonderland outside my door.
While I sat inside sipping my tea and checking my emails, the HH was gearing up to go outside and shovel snow.
And shovel he did.
And blow.
And shovel some more. 🙂
Thank goodness for husbands! Because if it was left up to me the snow would have stayed where it was until it melted.
A little over 10”. So you know, it was pretty much your average snowfall here in Maine. And the funny thing is, tomorrow it’s supposed to be 50 degrees and rain 2 inches. Well, that’s the forecast anyway.
We’ll see.
Wishing you a day filled with warmth and endless cups of tea.

We live in South Carolina now, but my husband misses all the shoveling and snow blowing from Michigan. I do not miss snow, not one little bit. 🙂

I guess the storm has not reached you yet today. It is bad.

Would anybody else’s dh have moved around the yard to find the deepest part of the snow to inflate the total? No, only mine? Figures. 🙂

Looks beautiful from Florida!!! 😉

We hit the snowfall jackpot on the MA/NH border, 17 inches (I’m all done with winter now). My HH was here from Florida and did some shoveling for me and even mentioned he misses winter sometimes but he’s flying back to Florida today and I bet he’ll be thrilled to swap his winter sweaters and boots for flip flops and shorts when he gets there!

I am sooooooo jealous! I love snow! I love snow days! I could never live someplace that didn’t a chance of snow in the winter! 40s & rainy here – fingers crossed it turns to snow but without the under-layer of ice! We’ll see.
Enjoy your day!

15″ on Friday and another 36″ (yes 3′) of snow due starting today-Monday.
Love the mountains on NO CO but not the snow as much

I don’t understand the point of all that work of snow removal when Mother Nature will take care of it eventually. We live in an area that gets snow and do the bare minimum snow removal. It works for us.
Maybe your HH enjoys this form of exercise?

You enjoy your snow… I’ll pass. I planted a fruit tree and my garden yesterday. And my front patio garden is already growing strong. No snow in sunny California, just a year-long growing season.
Lynn in SoCal says
Amen to that! I’m a 2nd generation native Californian, and the closest I get to snow is looking at our mountains from the sunny patio of our backyard! I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

We are currently under a tornado warning here in central Florida until 9:00 p.m. tonight. Gusty winds and starting to rain a little. High of 80° today and 64° tomorrow. This is winter in Florida. I have never lived anywhere else so I don’t know what it is like to deal with snow.

Gorgeous.
We are waiting for snow to arrive on Friday. Possibly 2-5 inches!
Pamela Sheppard says
I miss snow so much. I don’t live where it snows often but on average we have a huge storm (12+ inches, huge for us) every few years and at least a couple of 6ish inch storms every year. This hasn’t been the case the last few years.
Sue says
I too love seeing the undisturbed snow, so I only shovel paths where I need to walk, then leave the rest alone. Less shoveling too! I love how it looks once the shovelled paths have melted and dried while all around is still snow.

That 1st picture is gorgeous!

Blizzard today in Kansas 🙁
