Hello Spring… I think I love you. Especially here in Maine, where at the lobster house, anything is possible.
My husband doesn’t even question me anymore when I say things like…. “I think we should make some giant Easter eggs and put them on the house.”
I love that people walk by and tell us our house is such a bright spot to the community. This would never be possible in an HOA neighborhood. HA HA HA.
And I love that my husband believes me every single time I say I need him to cut just a few more buoys…
I wasn’t looking for another arts and crafts project when we were on the hunt for a new house… It just sort of found us. And I love how that happened.
Spring at the lobster house. It begs the question… What’s next? 😉
I was thinking of a red white and blue theme for summer. But maybe there’s a holiday we’ve forgotten about?
This place has been so much fun… I can hardly believe it sometimes. It’s been a beautiful, fun, HAPPY distraction to everyday life and I love it.

Exactly what the doctor ordered!
I would think red/white/blue would work from Memorial Day all the way through the 4th of July!

This may be my favorite!!! I love all the different colors! Is there anyway that you could just tweek this one a little to have a flower/garden theme before you move on to red, white and blue?
I’m so glad to hear that it brings joy to your community. I know it does for me also!

Autumn in my very most favorite season, so those bats were the clear winner in my book, but Easter is my very close 2nd place favorite! Those eggs take the cake, and I love the different colors of the ropes. Curious… do you now leave the lobsters up year round, and just take the holiday decor up and down? What a fun thing for your community to see!

Lobsters will stay up until it’s time for the bats… I think. You never know. 😉

I’d laugh even more if you made the lobsters Halloween costumes along with the bats. I love that the town embraced your vision.
Susan from Florida says
I second that! That would be awesome! I could totally see capes and masks for the lobsters.

The Easter buoys and eggs are wonderful! I love all the bright colors. Welcome, Spring!
I think next year your lobsters need to be accessorized with pink bunny ears!
Richelle says
That would be awesome!

You could do a flower / vegetable theme to help promote you produce stand?
Cherilyn says
Bright and beautiful- if I saw that while out and about, it’d make me smile! Maybe some flower/spring themed buoys could go up for May/June, before the red white & blue ones make their debut. May I suggest a few ice cream cones for the summer decor? Thanks for sharing your crafty creations!
