Sometimes I want ice cream and I want ice cream now! This is practically instant ice cream. So when your poor freezer is bare and ice cream free, this recipe will come to your rescue!
Ingredients
3 Cups {about 24 oz} frozen strawberries
1/2 cup sugar {depending on how sweet you want it!}
1 1/2 cups 2% milk {you could use heavy whipping cream for a richer taste}
Directions
Place strawberries in a blender {I use and LOVE my Blendtec}. Blend until berries are choppy but not smooth. Pour in milk and pulse a few times and then add sugar. Blend until smooth, stopping to stir the mixture a few times. I like to leave a few berry bits because I like it kinda chunky. Store in an airtight container in the freezer. Enjoy!

Genius! Any suggestions for making vanilla or chocolate ice cream this way? How much vanilla or cocoa powder would you use? Or maybe use chocolate syrup instead? Thanks for all the great & simple recipes!
