Tea Bag Christmas Tree Tutorial
I’m kind of into tea. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned that here on the blog before but I am. And well, is it just me, or does it seem like coffee gets all the attention. What’s up with that?
So, if you’ve got a friend who’s into tea, or you just need an excuse to try a new variety, these little tea bag Christmas trees might be just the ticket. Not only are they super easy to make, but fun to give to fellow tea drinkers as well.
Tea bag Christmas trees, they’re the gift that keeps on giving.
Supplies
SuppliesPaper Mache Cones
Individually Wrapped Tea Bags {Harney & Son’s has pretty tea bags}
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Tree Topper – Wooden Star, Ribbon etc.
Directions
Squeeze a line of glue near the top of the backside of a tea bag and press firmly onto the cone. Stagger the tea bags as you glue them to the cone. Layer the tea bags in rows until you’ve worked your way to the top of the cone.
Add a wooden star or ribbon to the top of the tree and give yourself a high five. Because really, how easy was that? 🙂

This is so cute! I have a bunch of mini clothespins I’ve been looking for a project for (no idea where I originally got them or why), and I bet I could hot glue the clothespins instead of the bags so that the trees could be refilled. Thanks!

When my Kids were in were in College and had no money for Christmas gifts, I hosted a Craft night complete with mocktails and appetizers, They invited their friends and made Christmas gifts for friends and family. The tea tree was one of the crafts along with gum machine planters and home made soap. We ran out of time before they completed the tile painting, but everyone had so much fun and I got to spend time with my kids and see their friends while they were home for Christmas.
Now that they have finished College and are off “adulting” in other states, I think I’ll host another one when they are home for Christmas this year!

Cute idea!! I’m into tea also. I drink tea every day & have to go down the tea aisle at every store I go to. I’m always looking for new flavors.
I’ve also given small jars filled with assorted teas as gifts.

I suppose you could also use foam cones and attach it with those pins with ball ends. Then they would look like tiny balls on the Xmas tree.
