Do you remember me telling you about The Grey House back in September? The Girl and I went to check out their tea service and LOVED it so much that when Mrs. HB’s Mom came to town I told Mrs. HB we just HAD TO TAKE HER THERE.
And so we did! And darrrrrling, for a second time in a row, the tea service was fabulous. And then last week, I found myself over in that part of town again. And well, with The Crown Season 2 coming out the next day on Netflix, I decided to pop in and ask if I could order tea service for 2. To go. And they said YES!!!
I quickly sent Mrs HB a text. And the next thing you know we had an entire day blocked off to watch The Crown.
Originally, I had ordered a bunch of toys for the neighborhood {fire department} toy drive but I got my weeks mixed up and realized that our neighborhood had already passed off all the toy donations to the fire department. I was planning on loading up my car and just dropping them off myself, but when I stopped by The Grey House to inquire about tea service to go, I noticed they only had a few packs of colored pencils and coloring books in their toy drive box. So the next day, when we went to pick up our tea goodies, Mrs. HB and I dropped off the toys at The Grey House instead. The staff was so happy!
Back to The Crown season 2. Have you seen it yet? We only made it through the first couple of episodes but it gets a little risqué if you ask me. Much, much more than I bargained for, that’s for sure. 😉 That Matthew Goode though…
Tea service for two… in the comfort of your own home. It’s magical I tell you.
We even had an audience.
I think Mrs. HB made this cheese, cracker and pepper sauce tray around episode 3. And of course we gobbled that up as well.
Friends. They’re the best aren’t they? Even when they steal all your blankets because you WON’T turn up the heat and then they make you hit the pause button like every 15 minutes because they drink copious amounts of tea and have to go to the loo nonstop.

What is that yummy looking jelly with the cheese?
Mavis Butterfield says
Some sort of sweet pepper jelly one of Mr. HB’s clients gifted him. It was DELICIOUS!

Just wait…it gets quite risqué! This season I felt so sorry for all of them. Plus I had to look up various historical events along the way to find out the details. The costuming and sets are glorious.
What a wonderful idea to have tea for two.

Such a fun idea! I’m watching The Crown season 2 right now, but alas, alone with no tea and tea sandwiches and crumpets, etc.
