Need to buy yourself a little time while you hustle around the kitchen with last minute preparations? Try giving the kids a scavenger hunt. They’ll have a blast and you can baste the turkey to the sound of their excitement. It’s win-win, I tell ya. Simply hit the “Print” button at the top of this post and had this list to the kiddos. 🙂
Here’s a list to get you started {have them take pictures of the items that are too hard to collect in a bag}:
- Turkey {decor or the real thing}
- 1 each Brown, orange or red leaf {this may require them heading out to the great outdoors temporarily}
- Pumpkin {canned or the read deal}
- Something your thankful for {careful, my friend did this last year and her son brought back a roll of toilet paper-Ha!}
- A football
- A house with 5 or more cars parked outside {again, this is gonna require some outdoors time}
- A nut {acorn, pecan, walnut, etc.}
- Potato
- Pie {have them take pictures to make it easier and mess free}
- Corn {decoration, candy corn, canned, or otherwise}
- Picture of themselves with one house guest
- A napkin that is any color other than white
- A feather
- A Scarecrow
- Something green {green bean casserole anyone?}
- A basket
- Something red
- An onion
- A picture of someone they’re thankful for
- Apron
Anything else you would add?
