I was cleaning out a drawer today and came across these gems. We all have them, little scribbles from our children, and it made me stop and wonder why I haven’t taken the time to get them framed. Because really, these drawings, they’re the best stuff on earth.
They are the things I would grab if my house was on fire. They are irreplaceable snippets in time that you can’t replace. Ever.
Take time to tell your peeps you LOVE THEM. Everyday. Even when they’re making you crazy.

They are priceless! I kept several items from my son during his elementary school years. Later, when teenage hormones caused a rent in our (once) close relationship and he would say “I hate you” I calmly went in and brought out some of those cute cards and said “no you don’t, I have proof you love me.” It helped to diffuse tensions so we could talk….
Mavis, framing those pieces is a grand idea. Hugs!

Love these!
I will admit though, my only child left home last year & got married. I just had to stop looking at these things for awhile. I am glad that he still says & writes goofy things like this though they usually come in texts.

When my son was in middle school, he asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told him to write me a letter/story of a favorite Christmas memory. It is the cutest thing, written on college notebook with the frays/holes pulled out on the side, I framed it, and every time I look at It, I see my sweet boy writing something from the heart. Priceless.

I have one that my son wrote one night when he was expecting the tooth fairy. He laid his note right next to a giant box of Altoids (what kid likes those???) that he had gotten for Valentine’s day. The note said, “Dear Tooth Fairy, Have an Altoid. Love, Michael”
I still have that…great idea to frame it.
