The Best Turkey Chili Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cooked turkey meat, chopped
- 1 ½ cups chicken broth2 {10 ounce} cans Rotel
- 1 {15 ounce} can black beans, drained
- 1 {15 ounce} can chili beans, undrained
- 1 sweet pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
In a stock pot over medium heat, sauté onion in butter for 5 minutes. You may now add garlic and sauté for 2 more minutes.
Add all the other ingredients to the pot. As soon as it comes to a boil, simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the chili has thickened a bit.
Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream {optional}.

Thank you for posting this! I’m feeling wiped out today and my hubby is feeling flu-ish after his flu shot yesterday, so having something warm and comforting and super easy with everything already on hand, it hit the spot for dinner tonight!!

It sounds wonderful, but my husband refuses to eat black beans. Is pinto beans a good substitute?
