Stay AWESOME Seattle… Stay awesome. Seriously. Where else on earth can you live and get a forecast like this? Rain, heavy rain, light rain. I mean c’mon Mr. Weather Man… I feel your pain having to decide how many raindrops to add to each day of the week just to break things up a little bit.
I sold 4 of my handmade hooked rugs over the weekend including a $199.99 table runner I hooked on my latest plane ride. When I got home from the post office, I discovered I had sold another small piece. A few more months of this might convince me that I can quit my day job and turn pro.
Oh wait, I don’t have a day job. Not a real one anyway. I mean because c’mon, sitting around in your pj’s at 2 pm eating chocolate cake, taking pictures of your dog and uploading them to your blog isn’t a real job… now is it?
Hey! I learned how to use an iPad yesterday. Seriously. We’ve had one for several years but I never had a need to use it until I started working on my super secret project {I’d tell you about it, but it’s a SECRET}. Honestly, it feels like a giant iPhone. Which I barely know how to use. So I think we’re good.
Sometimes I think I’ve been living under a rock for the last 5 -10 years. I mean I don’t even know how to upload songs to my iPod. Instead of taking 10 seconds to learn, I rather just wait until The Girl comes home for Christmas and have her change my 16 tunes for me.
I listen to Pandora while I work blog and write songs down on a sticky note for her. The way I see it…. why learn how to upload songs, right? Because pretty soon we’ll all have chips implanted in our brains with our favorite songs on them. Who’s with me here?
Oh. And I’d like to thank Mrs. HB for letting me come over yesterday day {in the rain} and dig up a bunch of her vinca for the hillside in my backyard. She was on a conference call for work, so I just slipped out without saying goodbye.
Friends are cool. We should all have more of them. Real or virtual. It’s nice to know they are there when we need them.
By the way, if you don’t already own a Flexrake, put it on your Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa/I don’t celebrate anything list. It’s AWESOME. Not only could you hack an intruder to death with it, but it’s pretty handy in the garden as well. I bought one earlier this year and I LOVE it. I’d totally marry it but I’ve already got the HH.
Peace Out Girl Scouts. Have a great Tuesday.

I like how eclectic your list of songs is. Budapest by George Ezra is one of favourite songs.
Happy Tuesday!

Ha! I got the rake after you mentioned it another time but it has never seen the dirt yet. My son decided right out of the box it had to stay by the front door in case of an intruder. You could do some serious damage with that thing. I should probably just get another one………..or 5 so I have one at every door and one for the garden of course.

About your iPad story… I was given one (family member had a spare) many months ago. It’s been sitting in my drawer waiting for me to get over being completely intimidated by it. My son has been begging me for it, since I wasn’t using it, but I couldn’t let it go. I could do this! Right? Well, Mavis, today you have given me the inspiration I need. If you can do it, then I’m going to give it a try. Tomorrow. 😉
Rock on!

Wahoo! iPad novices unite. Let us know how it goes.

Send Me On My Way (Rusted Root) is one of my all time favorites! It makes me smile every time I listen to it. Matilda (a shared favorite movie 🙂 ) introduced me to this song.
