Get ready to stock up and grow your own food! The Tilth Alliance’s May Edible Plant Sale is on Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7 at Meridian Park in Wallingford {4850 Meridian Ave N, Seattle}, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Stock up on organically, sustainably and locally grown veggies, herbs, edible flowers, pollinator plants, seeds, supplies and knowledge galore. They’ll have loads of warm season crops like tomatoes, peppers, squash and corn that will thrive in summer weather. Best part {aside from all the awesome plants at killer prices}? It’s FREE to get in! No admission is ever charged!
Another awesome thing is that all the plants are specially chosen by Tilth Alliance experts so they are well-adapted to thrive in our Pacific Northwest climate. So knowing that you’ll have tens of thousands of plants to choose from and they’ll all grow like mad in our area, I’d totally suggest buying up everything you can fit in your car {or bringing a U-Haul}. If you’re a gardener in the state of Washington, you need to check it out. The Tilth Alliance Plant Sale is one of the highlights of my year! Not only is their selection incredible, but the deals you can score are amazing. I always leave with a ton more than I intent to because there are just so many perfectly priced plants. You can also get first pick of the plants and avoid crowds by shopping the Early Bird Sale.
Lend a hand! Sign up to volunteer. As a perk, volunteers are invited to the Early Bird Sale for free!
