Quote of the Day: “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient for living.”
Hello Tuesday!
Yesterday was a pretty crafty day around here. I worked on a few hooked rug pieces and made Lucy the trouble puggle a bean tutu. That dog! She is so much fun and always up for anything.
Today my plans are to try out a new brownie recipe, take the puggle princess on a long walk and work on a new sign for above the bed. How about YOU? What are your plans for today?
Peace out,
♥ Mavis

Jeanie says
I have landscapers here who are “helping” me rehab my backyard. They are removing some disintegrating limestone and laying in all new hard scape. The limestone was a border for a shade garden and they are replacing that all with a kind of long stone edge and then laying in a new flagstone path with decomposed granite bed. Ripping out old iris, a dead lilac, pruning the roses, dividing the sedum and preparing the beds for new hostas, viburnum, crepe myrtle and some perennials. I am super jazzed that they are doing all the hardest work. I want them to build me a stone chair like the one I saw at Sissinghurst but they seem to think that is a bit much. Haha.
