Ingredients
9 Cups Rice Krispies
{2} 10 ounce Bags of Marshmallows
6 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
Red and Green Food Coloring
1 Tbsp Mini Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Butter the insides of {2} 9 inch cake pans and set aside.
Start by making the green outer layer.
Mix 4 cups marshmallows and 3 tbsp butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave one minute at a time, stirring each time to combine, until thoroughly melted and smooth.
Stir in 4 cups Rice Krispies. Add green food coloring one drop at a time, stirring as you do, until you reach desired color {or, just go for it and squeeze half a tub in the bowl like I do}.
Press half of the mixture into each cake pan using the back of a buttered spoon, creating an outer ring. Leave a center circle open for the red layer of Rice Krispies.
Repeat the steps above to make the red Rice Krispies, only this time using 5 cups marshmallows, 3 tbsp butter, and 5 cups Rice Krispies. Again, add red food coloring until desired color.
Press half of the red mixture into the center of each cake pan, and sprinkle red with mini chocolate chips {to look like seeds}.
Allow the treats to sit for at least 30 minutes before slicing into triangles.
