There are 123 days left in 2011. I have exactly $188.67 + a $100 Albertsons Gift Card left to spend if I plan on reaching my goal of only spending $1,200 oop for all our food, toiletries and dinners out in 2011. That breaks down to about $2.34 a day. Yikes!

Hello, I live in Lake Stevens, WA and had a really rough year with my tomatoes. I was wondering what types you grew in your garden this year. I would like to copycat you in my garden next year. Thanks for any tomato growing advice you can provide!

Hi Lynn,
I started off this year growing a variety of heirloom tomatoes from seed. Then I left them outside one night on accident and they all died. 🙁 So I had to purchase my plants and a few people gifted me some as well. This year I had success with Roma, Early Girl, Sun Gold, Yellow Pear, Italian Heirloom & Purple Cherokee. However, I plan on growing all my tomatoes plants from seed next year and towards the end of year will do a show and tell of what I have ordered. Hop that helps. 🙂
