So last weekend I flew to Boise, Idaho to participate in a race called The Dirty Dash… And you know me… I’ll pretty much do anything or go anywhere if it involves being able to hop on an airplane. What can I say… I like adventure. Plus they let me design the costumes. 🙂
Wanna hear something disgusting? After we slogged our way through this mud… I was told someone (about 15 minutes before) threw up in it. How gross is that? 🙂
Anyway… now that I ruined the sandwich you were eating… Here’s what I bought this week with my coupons:
On the last day of Albertsons double coupon days I purchased 6 Gatorades for free but had to pay $1.00 in tax (I doubled $1/1 hang tag coupons), 20 packages of Mission whole grain tortillas FREE (I doubled $1/1 product coupons that were taped to the packages), 11 Velveeta Cheesy Skillets FREE (I doubled $1/1 coupons) and paid a whopping $1.53 oop for 11 packages of ground beef (approx 2/3lb per package) using the $1 off any meat purchase catalina coupons (which I doubled) from the Velveeta Cheesy Skillets. Pretty stinkin’ awesome if you ask me. 🙂
FREE Folgers Coffee for the HH (Thank you Swagbucks!)
Fred Meyer $10.87 I should look into buying a cow… and someone to milk it and to churn a little butter for me. Anyone … Anyone?
Costco: 10lbs of Onions $3.49 and a FREE lunch (via bite sized samples).
Farmer Ted gave us 2 FREE cabbages. I have my fingers crossed for a couple of cases of free corn since I forgot to water mine this past month because I was to busy CLIPPING COUPONS and gallivanting across the west coast.
Enough blackberries for 2 pies. Yumm!
Free produce from the raised garden beds. I would have had more zucchini but the chickens attacked them (oh darn!) and Money Boy and The Girl Who Thinks She’s A Bird ate 2 baskets of beans RAW before I could get a picture.
More berries… Again… I would have had more… But the Hillbillies got to them about 2 hours before I did so I had to hike deep into the woods for these babies. And then guess what happened (after they stole all my berries)… Mrs Hillbilly called me (while I was taking a bath) wanting a recipe for a BLACKBERRY PIE! The nerve of that woman! Geez… just because the berries are on HER property do you think that gives her the right to pick them all? I don’t think so.
But I gave her the recipe anyway…after all I know it by heart… Plus… she is my best outlet when it comes to bartering… So it’s best I don’t go all Hatfield and Mc Coy on her.
Total Spent This Week: $16.89
Total Spent Year To Date: $1,028.22
I think I can I think I can I think I can…
